Alea Adrian (they/she) is a freelance book and magazine designer based in Brooklyn. Specializing in layout and production, their work aims to challenge the boundaries of the page, looking to display images and text in non-traditional ways that keep the reader intrigued.

Learned through a combination of mentorship and self-taught practice while attending Emerson College for two degrees in publishing, Alea has five years of experience in publication design. This experience is not limited to design itself; in multiple roles, they acted as art director/head designer, where they managed a team of staff designers and worked with other departments to adhere to production schedules. 

Alea currently works as a remote freelance book designer and remains open to future roles.
