Produced the editorial layouts during my final undergraduate semester as head designer for the magazine. Playing with the spacing and imagery of the editorials through layering and utilizing white space, I streamlined the layout to create a cohesive design style throughout the issue.

April 2022

While maintaining communication with the printers, I designed the editorial layouts of this issue and pieced together all of the articles designed by staff and freelance designers. Worked with the magazine staff and printers to maintain a production schedule and send the magazine off to print. Limited print editions were given away.

As my first magazine launch during my position as head designer, I coordinated with a small design team and freelance designers to produce the online publication of this issue. I assigned article layouts to the team, while designing each editorial myself and putting the issue together for an online destination.

October 2021

For my final project in my graduate magazine design and production course, led by Lisa Diercks, I produced and printed Period Magazine, a fictional magazine covering topics surrounding vaginal and sexual health. Through peer critiques and workshops, I narrowed down the color palette, typefaces, and style of the magazine. I wanted to focus on playing with typography, creatively configuring how text can flow together in non-traditional ways.
