Learned through a combination of mentorship and self-taught practice while attending Emerson College for two degrees in publishing, Alea has five years of experience in publication design. A serif font was used throughout the body of the text to add to the historical element many of the stories tell, while a sans serif balanced out the running material. Through peer critiques and workshops, I narrowed down the color palette, typefaces, and style of the magazine.
